Battle of the Remixes- Dirty Money- Angels Remixed by Rick Ross, Raekwon, and Lupe Fiasco

Diddy’s Dirty Money has THE song to be remixed right now (which is a lil odd considering it has been out for a month or so now). Three rappers have thrown a verse on the track, so it’s time for a battle of the remixes. First up is…

Rick Ross- Lyrically his verse was the weakest out of all three remixes. However, his voice is a great match for the song. Click here to listen to Dirty Money Angels feat. Rick Ross

Raekwon- He totally killed it. I love the poetry of his verse and his voice and delivery are perfection on the track. My only gripe is that his verse was too short! Click here to listen to Dirty Money Angels feat. Raekwon

Lupe Fiasco- Lupe had the most lyrically intricate and smart version out of the three. Although I think Rae was more poetic…Lupe did a better and more complete job with his metaphor and telling an entire story with his verses. Click here to listen to Dirty Money Angels feat. Lupe Fiasco

Overall…it’s hard to score a winner. Raekwon’s verse was my favorite but I can’t say it was the best because it felt incomplete. Lupe overall gave two better verses. So I will say he is the biggest upgrade to the song, but Raekwon comes in a very very close second.

What do you guys think? Who upgraded the song the most? In what order would you rank the remixes?

It’s funny to see everytime Rick Ross goes up against a real rapper he is always murdered, outshined, and killed. We all remember mayback music with him and Jay Z. The sad thing about this is Rick Ross has sold more record than Lupe and Raekwon combined and don’t get me started on radio play. I guess Ross isn’t that stupid after all.

Rick Ross is the worst rapper with the best voice ever. He’s like the exact opposite of Eminem ( Best rapper worst voice ever).

Yea and wtf is up with him(Ross) getting the best and most epic beats ever from usually no name producers.

OH and Lupe Killed it, Reminds me off his mixtape stuff. He’s great but I think he mainstreamed his flow a lil on his albums to make them have more mass appeal. Doesn’t really weaken em but I find myself rewinding tracks a lot more on his mixtapes.

Ibra/Stallion…I agree that Rick Ross lyrically sucks as a rapper. BUT he has a nice flow and he always gets some really hot beats.

JW- You will be happy to know I posted my review of Rated R.

Put Lupe on a track and I luv it already so its no surprise that out of all these remixes his version is the only one I have.
