Listen: Mariah Carey- H.A.T.E. U Remix featuring Big Boi, OJ Da Juiceman, Gucci Mane

Mariah Carey has a remix to her song “H.A.T.E. U” featuring OJ Da Juiceman, Big Boi, and Gucci Mane. Hold up wait a mutha fuccin minute…did Mariah Carey go and flip one of my favorite old school joints “My Boo”? Yes she did and I loooooove it! I know most of my readers are a lil too young to know about “My Boo” but if you know what I’m talking about then you will probably be juiced about someone as major as Mariah flipping it. This song seriously makes me wish she would’ve had Jermaine Dupri produce her album rather than The Dream. I’m surprised that all the rap guest spots on the song totally upgrade the song. I know everyone is jocking Gucci Mane but Big Boi killed it! I love, love, love this. Click here to listen

Upgrade or downgrade? Do you prefer Mariah working with Jermaine Dupri or The Dream?

Wow, Reecie you’re right this sounds good. I can’t believe they sampled “My Boo”, it’s nice they dug that up, I definitely remember that song.

Yea, this is nice but Mariah usually never disappoints with the remixes. Hyped to see what this remix album will sound like.

I LOVE it too! It’s one of her best certainly this decade. If there was no Gucci Mane this would’ve been perfect. Thanks JD, this totally reminds me of her 90s JD remixes. Mariah’s vocals sound great too. Better than on the original imo.

I’m not gonna front the first time i heard this..i listened to like 35 seconds and was done with it…but because u said it was good reecie i checked it out again..and i must admit it was way better than i thought..good looks..

but i do think i like the original better..the lyrics and production are on point..

i think her album didnt do well because of her PR and management teams..no one knew it was comin out and she tried to do a last min publicity blitz

Her management totally messed it up. And they should’ve gone with Mariah’s choice and gone with Hate U for the 2nd single. WIth this amazing remix, it would’ve blown up!

I agree that her management was smoking crack with how they totally did not have her promote this album at all. I had already heard her entire album but I was shocked that her album was released with zero fanfare. She only had 1 video…that’s crazy. I don’t know if it’s just laziness or what but she didn’t do anything to garner buzz for her album. I think she will still sell well though once she starts putting some effort forth.

LOVE it! I hope they make a video…..I totally agree…this sounds like her 90s remixes. Such a pleasant surprise after hearing her new album which put me to sleep lol

You can’t listen to this through computer speakers. Through the computer it sounds like a cheapened version of “My Boo.” I had to put on headphones in order to get the full effect.

With that being said, it’s cool. I’m just biased because I Love “My Boo” and I take sampling classics seriously. lol. I mean this is MIAMI BASS where talking about! You can’t go light on that!

  1. If it’s possible for someone not to know the skating rink CLASSIC that is My Boo, then I am officially an old head.

Virgo was the lead vocalist for Ghost Town DJ’s and they smoke radio with My Boo. Also the song is still spinning on radio at some stations every day.

I just heard the new mixes on Virgo new unreleased album and it’s full of hot dance and urban joints. And this project will have her back on top of the charts. If any club DJ or radio announcer wants a taste of the new single, email Steve Johnson cocoasents@gmail.com

  2. Mariah Carey, did a great gob! on the remix says “Virgo formerly of the Ghostown Dj’s who sang the original version. I am very honored to have a artist of her status cover my classic tune its kinda a BIG DEAL! not only did she sing the song but she put her Maria style in it and still keeping the integrity of my vibe and tone on record and having Jermain Dupri producing the remix was classic in itself”. Moreover, to learn more about Virgo go to myspace.com/officialvirgomusic, http://www.cocoasentertainment.ning.com. Furthermore, dj’s, record pools, programmers to receive new music on Virgo email cocoasentsj@gmail.com who knows maybe in the near future Mariah and Virgo will perform this smash hit song for the fans at concerts or award shows.
