Watch: Beyonce- Ego
Hey HM fam! I’m back from vacay and although I’m mad this video debuted the day I left, I’m happy to return with Beyonce’s “Ego”. This song was my fav from her album so I’m really happy to see it as a single. I was actually expecting something a little more grand than just another video with her doing choreography in a leotard. The song has such bravado and the video is just a rehash of what we’ve already seen from her before. With that said I’m still digging it. It doesn’t have that one catchy dance like “Single Ladies” did but this will still be a song that gets all the ladies on the dance floor.
What do you guys think of the video? Do you think she could’ve been more creative?

The video was cool, nothing crazy. Reecie, you say it just a rehash of what she has done already, but I kind of see it like her trying to do that T-Pain thing where the videos stick to a certain them so you know it came from the same album (when you look back on it years later). In the end I must say it doesseem like a rehash myself. I just think her and t-pain stick a little to close to their others videos while trying to remain with there themes. Just a thought.
She killed the dance, looked fab, and I actually think the steps were better than the Single Ladies video. With that being said: MAN I WAS SO MAD AT BEYONCE FOR THIS VIDEO. I thought she was going to come SO swagged out for Ego casue that’s so up her alley! I guess I looked for the video to be very literal. I am just so tired of seeing her dance around in bathing suits it makes no sense! I usually buy her DVD with all of videos but I refuse to watch 7 choreographed bathing suit photo shoots! I don’t think she’s fallen off by no means I just feel like maybe she needs some fresh minds or her team to keep things new because if I see one more leotard…L0L!!

Exactly how I felt when I saw it. I think she is using moves most people can follow (which is good), being that she is touring and all. People will catch on based on the fact that her song(s) are catchy and they can move to it. If you look back on most of her hit songs there is always some kinda of dance move(s) related to it(do the oh ooh, shake your derriere in Dereon, single ladies dance etc).
However frankly I’m kinda sick of seeing her in the leotard. Undoubtedly she is hott, however I think some of her movements look a little awkward throughout this video. Sometimes she tries too hard and then it doesn’t turn out smooth enough(beautiful liar).
Tielex..the leotard thing is getting played…especially now that everyone and their mama is diong it.
The video is boring. For her to be making a video for every song on her album and releasing it later on down the line as a collection she needs to make sure that none of her videos look the same and this one looks like Single Ladies with a black wall and gold sequins. But since I won’t be buying the collection of videos I guess I don’t really give a fuck. Cool song, good job on the dancing.
