Black Eyed Peas have a new song called “Imma Be”. Supposedly this will be the next single…and damn it this shit is hot! It looks like they are giving us two summer anthem bangers in a row, I’m loving it. I’m glad they put Fergie first on the track and gave her a bigger role on the song than “Boom Boom Pow”.will.I.am is killing the production with so much creativity and versatility on each song. Poor Black Eyed Peas. These guys are really talented, but in order for the whole world to be aware of them they kind of have to dumb it down and move in a more pop direction. It took a song like My Hump to make Will.i.am the go to producer? Apl.de.ap is a great MC, but is put in the shadow of Fergie. Fergie is a great singer, but I feel apl.de.ap isn’t getting the respect he deserve as a rapper. Oh well I guess that is the price of fame. Apl.de.ap and Taboo don’t mind staying in the back ground.
yeah, i like it. does anyone else hear how it sounds kinda like a swizz beats production in the beginning, with the ‘hey’s & drums in the background?
Lady C I did notice that. The production starts off in a different lane than the usual BEP sound ..For some reason I love songs with “heeeeey” in the background…it’s like an instant party.

Stallion…you have a great point. BEP has been forced to make their music more Pop for mainstream success but I’m not holding it against them. Apl.de.ap is a hot rapper…and you’re right he gets next to no love or pub on the singles.

love it. I really like Fergie’s verse. I like the way her spit flow. Still kinda stuck on boom boom boom. Definately looking out for their album.
