R. Kelly hopped on Beyonce’s “If I Were A Boy” and flips the script on the ladies the way Beyonce flipped it on the guys. It is kind of funny how R. Kelly exemplifies the kind of guy that Beyonce is singing about in his attempts to excuse all of his wrongdoings. Kells comes across as sleazy and makes Beyonce’s point that much more potent. Perhaps some guys will like R. Kelly’s addition, but his lyrics will definitely fall on deaf ears with the ladies. Click here to listen

First I just want to say it is kind of wack that Beyonce new album only has twelve songs on it. I was expecting each disc to have twelve songs. I want to give Beyonce prop for picking a single that didn’t sound like Crazy in love.

@Reecie….I agree with your analysis on R Kelly’s take. I hate to admit it I like it especially if you don’t really listen to his lyrics (I know how is that possible) but R has an amazing voice with his perverted ass. That I can’t deny no matter how much I don’t support him.
i was expecting kellz to totally detsroy the original claims of being a boy from the female perspective but he just flatlined. disappointment considering the chopped and screwed remix and sex olympics.
As a fan of R&B is is hard to ignore R. Kelly. He is probably a pedo, but I don’t think I can ignore his music even if I wanted to.

This point of view is coming from a singer. The track is an amazing crossover hit, and it deserved a remix from the best. Beyonce is on top right now and R Kelly will forever be the remix master. I say this because you can not loose what R .Kelly has( that ear for music). The song will bve an even bigger hit now. Congrats to Beyonce and The R.

I really like the remix, Kelly puts a twist on it. it is comin from a womans and mans point of view. it really hits home with me especially I always wanna put myself in my mans shoes and see what he doin and where he comin from when he is gone for a few hours and tell me he gonna be right back but then says he got with his bit and they went to the bar or somethin. So, with this song I have learned to chill on my man and bitch so much. They are just being men and men gon do what they gon do reguardless. But B. and Kellz.i love ya both.

Once again, R. Kelly proves himself as one of the best - he is the king of remixes. The good news is that you can’t ignore talent and despite his wrongdoings - we must remember that none of use are in positions to judge. I am sure all of us have done things that we are not proud of and most importantly, did not get caught…so to me, it is a not up for discussion. R. Kely is talented and still on top in my book. This gives Beyonce something to think about..
Also, I like that this remix remained classic - not a different melody or beat - just a conversation back and forth…
