Watch: Keri Hilson- Turnin Me On featuring Lil Wayne

Keri Hilson has a new video for her song “Turnin Me On” featuring Lil Wayne. This is one of those songs that had to grow on me, but now I love it. I guess in this recession everyone wants to shoot their video with the plain white background, but at least Keri throws in some choreography rather than just standing there the entire time. Keri looks great, except for that one tomboy look…I don’t know what that is all about but I’m not feeling it. Overall, decent video for a good song. It should at least keep people interested in seeing what she comes with next.

What do you guys think of the video?

Isn’t this like the fifth single from her debut album.

Keri is doin too much ghetto “Get it Girl”-s and too= many retro-styled “The Way I Are”-s.

Hilson is giving away all her good shit. “Wrong When You’re Gone” … what! Why’d you give that to J.Lo? I heard Keri singin that track – she’s clean as whistle on that joint.

Regardless, the hook on this song is whatsup, but the beginning? I was like – “that aint keri” – yeah, it’s keri.

and that tomboy look is not happening. Someone needs to polish her up a little bit and hone her music.

She can write, she can dance – girl looks way too damn good… confidence and is nice as hell. She just needs a smooth ass joint to throw her into people’s radios… “Energy” was a good start but it wasn’t catchy enough – it was way too retro for people’s first listen.

Stallion this is her third single.

Ryan I agree with you about polishing her up. I think she is all over the map between the three videos she has put out. Aside from her blonde/black short do she doesn’t seem to have a signature style. The whole tomboy thing is just muddles the water for what her image is. I like Keri…but she needs a signature sound and image.

she can kinda dance but i think it was forced and just put in there for no reason
    and lil wanye killed it

  1. Keri sings better than most the artists she writes for, but she’s having a hard time finding a single that resonates with listeners. I loved “Energy” mainly because the lyrical content was something I found relatable at the time, but I can see why it didn’t have mass appeal. She should’ve just skipped making a video for this and saved the money. It’s just not very noteworthy, we won’t be talking about this video or song come next week.

Her tomboy look/dance sequence has too much of a resemblance to Ciara. I just don’t really like the song and the video didn’t win me over so I guess that’s the end of this. Better luck next time…

First thing I’ll say is at first listen, the song is not all that… But it took a second listen to realise that it’s actually quite tight….

Second thing, an observational comment on the video… Is it me or does anyone else think, that if this video was shot in Black & White colour… It was remind you of Destiny’s Child’s Soilder video….

I love this song..I think she should have came out with this one first and then energy..She looks like she had a lot of fun making this vid..i didnt mind the top boy look though..i dress like that almost everyday:)

Hopefully this song blows up and increases her sales..she can’t never say that her label didnt push her album because she is on video three and I’m not sure if she had a number one hit.

i like Keri but this song was wack ! I also am not really feeling this video at all. Don’t like her Rihanna inspired hairstyle on her. i liked her with her jet black chiney bang hairstyle more. It made her stand out more. I hope she comes out with some better songs before her album release because this one wasn’t nothing to talk about!
