Watch: Rihanna- Rehab featuring Justin Timberlake
Rihanna’s new video for “Rehab” debuted today and features Justin Timberlake as her leading guy. I love, love, love this video! Rihanna looks gorgeous and she and Justin make a smokin hot duo. Their chemistry sizzles without being over the top. You could feel the angst and tension of the lyrics and her voice in the acting and I love the desert setting. The different colors and Rihanna’s styling are stunning. I’ve been looking forward to seeing this video and it exceeds my expectations. This is a definitely a hit! It looks like Rihanna isn’t in a rush to relinquish her spot on the top so easily to Beyonce and with this video Bey might have some competition on her hands.

The video was okay….the lyrics were nice and Rihanna looked very pretty.
There is something about the moody lighting that makes me keeps me into it. Their acting says a lot without really trying too hard..but I think “If I Were A Boy” may be the bigger single only because this is Rihanna’s 8th single from Good Girl Gone Bad, but then again Disturbia was her 7th single and that went to #1. I don’t know Rihanna is kind of this years and last years “it” girl, so if anyone could pull an upset for Beyonce it’s her…
but I don’t like comparing the two because to me they’re completely different artists, with completely different personalities and styles.
I agree Rhianna looks good in this video but I find the fashion doesn’t represent the song. She is way overdressed with pearls and earrings to be in a desert she would look more believable with jeans shorts and like a little tank or something. As for her performance it is blah as usual and I also find the chemistry was stiff between her and Justin I would think the part where they are in the desert represent when their relationship was fine but the way she touched him seemed strained I couldn’t see much chemistry. I’m not saying I don’t like the video but it’s nothing outstanding. I felt like it was a fashion showcase for Rhianna but I hope she realizes that soon she will have to come really fresh because first all you heard about was her hairstyles but now that’s played out, then her tattoos which is almost played out so she will have to start bringing some more bang for the buck. Everybody knows she looks good - it’s expected of her we don’t need a video to remind us of that. As to Beyonce…she is on the fritz too and I think if she wanted to name something fierce she should’ve named the crazy in love album Sasha fierce - that was more believable. Although even though Beyonce may not have the best voice she always entertains.

But why do people compare Beyonce and Rihanna….two different artist, genre, etc….Rihanna should be compared to let’s say someone in her catergory…Britney, Ciara, FeFe etc….
I have to admit the acting in this video pretty good. I could feel the tension and the angst between the two of them. The location was pretty good. Maybe a little story was needed in the video.
Look like Timberlake is having a good week. First he is spending time with Beyonce and now Rihanna.
I’m surprised and not surprised that the reviews are so mixed for the video. Whenever someone like Rihanna (or Beyonce) does something there is always going to be a group that hates it and a group that loves it.
Personally, I’m not biased towards Rihanna but I do think she deserves credit for being a talented artist. Before I saw her in concert and before this album I thought she had minimal talent, but now she has earned my respect and kudos.
I think when you pay attention the color scheme of the video..i.e. the scene where the lighting is red and Rihanna is wearing the Black cap…the lyrics, emotion, and setting work together to great affect.
She could’ve done something very literal with being in a straight jacket or some mess like that, but the nuanced approach is much more true to life. In reality, when you get to this point in a relationship there is still that yearning for the person you want to be with even if you know it’s not right. Rihanna played that role perfectly. Justin also played his role perfectly capturing that indifferent yet magnetic attitude. I can relate to the feelings portrayed in the video and in the song since I’ve gone through that before…so perhaps that’s why I love the video so much.
Hmmm…this is my favourite song off the album only b/c of its production (which only proves that rihanna doesn’t actually have any real talent - and if u disagree thats fine but i dont think ive heard her ever singing any other notes but high pitched ones) and since i’ve seen how boring she is concert i dont want to make it seem like i hate her - cuz i dont! but the video is either low budget or the director was actually aiming for an 80’s style video - i think ill go with the former. not to mention that the video doesnt correspond to the lyrics??? or is that just abstract! lol

@ reecie how have you been since the historic election? has for me, i have been on cloud nine about it! I have gotten one the last time magazine with Obama on it but, but i was not able to get the one that came out the day after the election. am planning to order it though.
anyways on anothernote, riri looks gorgeous in this video. i like this song but liked her much more when she sang ” take a bow”! that was her best song for me.
Justin wrote the song for her but i dont think it will have as much success as TAKE A BOW! But this is still a cute song but a very HOT video. As for Beyonce, RiRi has nothing to worry about, shes way hotter than Beyonce and plus she is only 20, still very young and by the time she reaches Beyonces age she will double what beyonce is worth!

The song is ok, the video was kinda akward to me. I didn’t get the over the top fashion looks she had but the whole goin all the way to the desert and she still can’t get away from the thought of him.
As far as her being compared to Beyonce, I think you definitely can because they are going for the same audience. They want the R&B audience and pop audience. We know that Rhianna has hands down conquered both audiences in Beyonce’s absense so thats what Beyonce’s tryna do with her new album.
