Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down- Watch: Mya- Paradise
Mya has a new video for a song called “Paradise”. Man talk about falling off…this is super low budget. She could’ve at least went to the beach or gone up on a mountain to shoot a video where sings “welcome to Paradise”. The song is okay…definitely not something that is going to re-launch her career. I’m going to give her the benefit of the doubt and guess that this was a rough draft and she is not really serious with this.

Brandy doesnt need to prove nothing to nobody and she had never ever sold out to sell out… she makes music for her fans…
Marc Baptiste wow not your best work, some great stills though. Brandy ALWAYS brings the heat. Mya is really talented and has crazy potential, its just she’s made some bad choices. Hopefully Motown gives her some material that does her justice in ‘09.

Mya can tap dance. Her acting thumbs down. I think Mya should follow her true calling….tap dance instructor at the local Y! I’m just saying.
As far as the video, I ‘m assuming they’re going to digitally place her on the beach (shrugs shoulders). IDK…this is beyond low budget. Was she in a jar of dingy water?? WTH What Paradise she singing about….no sun, no ocean, no sand, no palm trees, no sunset….come again Mya. SMH @ this video.
I agree with you on this one. I forgot it already. SUPER LOW BUDGET. I could see they wanted to showcase her ass and thighs with the bathing suit/lingerie/dress or whatever that was supposed to be, however I say again everybody expects celebrities to look good so bring something different to the table.
Yeah that’s gotta be a pre-production version or something, it definitely needs some polish work. If the red outfit has her on a beach background and the blue one puts her in an underwater Atlantis type city or something, that might do it.
Besides that though the song was alright, not something I’d want to hear if I couldn’t look at Mya at the same time. But I’m crazy about Mya so I’m a little bias. Can Mya just re-make her ‘My Love is Like Woah’ video, I’m still in love with that video.
As for who would have an easier comeback I think it’d be Brandy. Just cause Brandy has a better base to come back from, with her hit CDs, her TV show, the reality show she did and her brother Ray J still in the spot light.
denise, obviously you havent heard her sing live. she sings from the heart. it aint fake. ive been following her work since the 90s. Her vibrato is very melodic for an contralto. she both has the ability to ride the beats and hits speeds that other artists would envy, id take her over cici anyday. you, if you died i wouldn’t cry anway, ridin’, anatomy 1on1, my first night with you, sorry all showcase that. looking at the video a seond time it was consistent, the frames each matched the other and it literally was free-flowing, it wasnt that bad either. her body IS the paradise, us fellas know whats up.
I actually own 2 cd’s by Mya…Fear of Flying was slept on….she’s a studio singer…her live singing SUCKS!

I do not think she is making a comeback at all. She’s going to have to have a sex tape or something to get back on the map. Not with chicks like Keri Hilson tryna claw themselves to the top. Brandy will make a comeback for sure, can’t wait for that. I ordered Afrodisiac just to get me in the mood for her new shit.
