Listen: Kanye West- Amazing and Tell Everybody You Know
So I’ve been debating whether or not to post some of the new Kanye West songs. I really want to wait until the album drops to hear the entire thing in its entirety rather than getting bits and pieces of it. One thing Kanye has always been exceptional at is crafting a fluid story throughout his albums. So…I don’t think we are really going to get a clear picture of what he is going for without hearing the entire album in full. However, I think it would be blogger malpractice to withhold the tracks…so as a compromise, I’m posting without comment.

What do you guys think of these tracks? Are you trying to wait for Ye’s album to come out rather than listening to all the leaks?

I like the tracks. I like hearing the tracks before the CD comes out, this way I already know I like atleast half of the album which is more than enough usually to warrant a purchase. In contrast I recently heard all of T-Pains album and it didn’t really hit that 50% mark so I’m still on the fence about it, I’ll probably still get it just to support an artist I enjoy. Plus by hearing more and more songs I stop repeating the other ones as much making them last longer in a way.
So far sounding like this album will be my goto ‘just broke up need to feel better’ album.
Hey Reecie… You know what… its funny that you say that, because I found a site in which I could have got to listen to all the leaks…
But the problem with doing so, is exactly like what you said, you don’t get to connect with the album, track after track the way it should do…
Also another problem… is the fact, that with this album, the dude Kanye is constantly changing every track & upgrading it somehow. So it gets annoying having to chase the same track over and over just to hear the latest version. (He said that hes changed the tracks Love LockDown & Heartless, but personally… still sounds the bladdy same!!)
Going to have to test my patience and wait.

hmm… “amazing” was saved by jeezy, but only kinda… “tell everybody you know” is terrible… like, just terrible.. and the sad thing, to me, is that i do think kanye could have been successful making a non-rap album.. but all of these songs sound like they were written in 15 min. and were never really fully realized; they sound like some shit i can make in garage band, and i dont want to listen to artists who aren’t 1,000,000x better than me lol…
and i understand ‘ye trying to capture his emotions on record as they’re happening, but don’t be afraid to refine and re-tool, because no one is going to feel your emotions if they’re hidden in an album of garbage… and i love kanye, but damn dude, i haven’t actively liked any of these new songs.. there have been a couple that have grown on me to the point that i can tolerate it, but thats not what i expect from mr. west
oh and yea, i’m glad he’s releasing these tracks early, cuz i’m pretty sure they don’t give refunds for CD’s anymore… he’s saving me like $13
I just don’t get it, either one of the songs. I’m trying to be patient while people re-envent themselves and play around with that fuckin voice synthesizer but my patience is wearing thin. Kanye has annoyed me for a few years now but by the time his album drops I’m a fan again but I dunno about this time.
LMAO@donjuston. Never knew they gave refunds on CDs. I just wait a few months and buy them used online if I really want the CD that bad. Fuck paying full price for what might be a buncha bullshit.
