Watch: Barack Obama in Primetime + Rally with Pres. Bill Clinton
Last night Senator Barack Obama aired a 30 minute special on half a dozen channels. The special highlighted struggles of average American families and detailed some of what Obama plans to do if elected. I’m a huge Obama supporter no matter what, but watching this special made me exceedingly proud to be in his camp. He has consistently run a campaign with the intention of inspiring people, bringing hope, and meaningful change to people’s lives. I think the special spoke to the heart of what is going on in this country…people are not living as comfortably as they used to, seniors are not getting to retire with health care and security, and there is a huge concern that we are heading in the wrong direction. One of the most important qualities missing in Bush and is crucial in the next President is empathy…being able to relate to the American people and truly caring about making our lives better. It was abundantly clear tonight that Obama gets it and has the sincerest intention iof wanting to put us back on the right path. We are now 5 days away from hopefully making history and putting this country on a new trajectory…one that is fueled by hope and unity rather than fear and division. The GOP isn’t going to let up with their hatred and mudslinging…but Obama is going to carry himself with dignity, purpose ,and hold his head high. There is only one campaign that can walk away no matter what with their integrity and reputation in tact and that is the Obama campaign. Overall, a brilliant special that should give him the final push of momentum heading into the last few days of the election.
Also last night, Pres. Bill Clinton and Obama held their first joint rally (Click here to watch). Bill was seriously on my shit list during the primaries and even after the convention…but tonight he totally redeemed himself with a fired up and passionate speech advocating for Barack. It was fantastic seeing these two men on the same stage together…and Bill did an excellent job passing the baton to Barack. Overall this was an amazing night for the Obama campaign…now it’s just getting into the final stretch. Folks make sure you get out there and vote early if you can or vote on election day, Nov. 4th!
Did you watch the primetime special? What did you think? Don’t Bill and Barack make an incredible team?

PS- One of the most poignant videos I’ve seen is that of an 86 year old Obama supporter , Charles, sharing his thoughts on volunteering with the campaign and meeting Barack. It is such a wonderful video and is only 3 minutes long so please take a moment to watch.

When Charles started crying, I started crying.
I watched the 30 minute ad lastnight. Afterwards I wanted to go out and vote right then and there…..I felt like anyone who was undediced should be decided after watching this…he talking his tax plan, medical, education, war, foreclosure….he covered alot. I liked that he had regular everyday people (you and me) in this video. People can relate to other people and I loved that his colleagues..fellow Senators, Governors and Retired Generals spoke for him and the CEO of Google….WOW! I truly believe Sen. Obama can heal of countries rep, heal us as Americans and heal our countries economy, healt care, education etc….it won’t happen overnight but it can and will happen. On Nov. 5 (eithe way) this country will be divided and it will be Sen. Obama that will heal us and make us whole again.
