Tina Fey Strikes Again: Watch SNL Palin Skit from 9-27-08
This week has been truly incredible in terms of politics. Between the economic crisis we find ourselves in, John McCain’s incredibly erratic and drama queen behavior, the disastrous and terrifying Palin/Couric interviews, and the presidential debates there were so much fuel for the Saturday Night Live fodder. The biggest beneficiary of the political chaos was no doubt Sarah Palin for turning in what should be to even the most staunch supporters disqualifying performances in her CBS interview. Yet with everything going on she managed to fly much further below the radar than normal…that is until Tina Fey reprised her genius portrayal of Palin for this week’s Saturday Night Live. Once again Tina nailed it, but as hilarious as she was…it didn’t go unnoticed that Palin is even more absurd in real life than Tina could ever manage to capture. At least 80% of the material was a direct quote from Palin’s interviews which made it simultaneously funny and tragic. If you aren’t scared yet about the possibility of Palin being the next VP and a heartbeat away from POTUS, then you are brain dead.
What do you guys think of this skit? Shouldn’t Tina Fey just get the Emmy for next year’s awards now? Did you catch the Couric interviews? Am I the only one who underestimated just how unintelligent Palin really is?

I watched the actual interview AFTER I watched this.. and let me tell you.. Fey nailed it. Palin is doing so much damage to the McCain campaign that you would think Obama is paying her. obviously joking, but you get my point. Kudos to Tina Fey
now that was funny
I like Sarah Palin, just because she’s women and it’s good to see women making big moves..but she’s not qualified, beyond not being qualified she doesnt know what the hell she’s talking about and it shows. As I watch her interviews I find myself wondering “what the hell are you talking about?” At times I mute the TV because it’s just painful to hear.
While some people say Barack only talks about change and hoping for change and things like that. I’d rather have a president who’s working for change, than one who’s not talking about it at all.
And NBC should give Tina a huge paycheck to come back to the show as often as possible..I actually stopped watching the show after she left..SMH
lmao!!!its sad the actual interview sounds exactly the same! **sighs** i hope america makes the right choice…
Tina Fey is the Queen! She mocked Sarah Palin to the T! Watching the real video is funny too. But people go vote cause she could very well be our next President if McCain whose 72 (God forbidden) dies.
What makes this whole thing super-hilarious [& sad] is the fact that there was little-to-no exaggeration [needed] of the actual interview.
People…PLLLLEEEAAAASSSSEEEEE vote wisely!

That is what the DOW closed at today.
The lowest the Market on Wall St. has been… ever.
Presidential politics is important, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE understand that voting for your Congressmen and woman is just as important.
The House failed to pass legislation that would lubricate the credit market, and so the abyss of the next Great Depression is even more apparant due to voters puting bafoons on the Hill.
These people did not elect themselves - these people were put in office by you, the voters.
Educate you and the people around, for the revolution is near!
Personally, I say thank God the House didnt pass that legislation. I’m sorry but 700 billion dollars is a lot of money to spend when there are people still without healthcare(including myself), a way to get education, increase in crime in several communities. I just feel like there solution was a premature solution and I’m pretty sure the majority of the American public would be pissed to know that 700 BILLLION DOLLARS that they pay in taxes is going to bail them out. Some analysts say by the end of it, it could have cost the America people 1 trillion dollars, even the way that sounds is ridiculous
I say go back and rethink it and try again. That can’t be the only solution. The first solution isn’t always the best solution
BTW, I dont look at this as a lesson as to who we put into Congress specifically. But more as a lesson as to what policies are reate.d Things are getting really bad now, but it’s not like things were good a few months ago either. Food has been expensive, gas has been expensive, I can find barely any gas in Atlanta right now :-(..the housing market has been plummeting. Basically the cost of living has been increasing dramatically, while wages are only increasing at such a small rate. After the Clinton adminstration there was basically a surplus in the economy and from there things have just taken a nose dive and unfortunately, it’s taken a situation like this to have Washington wake the f*ck up
Thats why I love Barack cuz he’s always been aware of what’s going on. It didnt take a situation like this for him to realize that America is in real trouble. He’s been talking about the trials of Americans his entire campaign, not just in the last 2 weeks. He’s so ahead of the game lol
Katherine. Please do all of us a favor and shut the fuck up.
You OBVIOUSLY do not understand the situation as well as you seem to think.
Uneducated people like yourself are the ones who struck down this bill.
WE LOST 1 TRILLION dollars today because the House did not pass this bill. Asia’s market has fallen dramatically because we did not pass this bill. The credit market is FROZEN because we did not pass this bill.
Are you a fool? Are you uneducated or are you just playing stupid?
“It’s not who we put into Congress but instead the policies that are… “reate.d”? Girl whatever the fuck that means - it IS who we put in Congress because THEY ARE THE ONES WHO MAKE THE POLICIES/REGULATIONS/LEGISLATION.
Please, get out of here. REECIE BLOCK HER COMMENTS… This is all too important for someone to fling uneducated remarks out into the atmosphere for people to even consider listening to.
THIS WAS NOT A BAILOUT - THIS WAS AN INVESTMENT. People were held accountable in this bill - bad mortgages were going to get bought up - confidence was going to be restored to WallSt…
Do you not realize what is happening? Now companies can’t borrow money from banks to pay the light bill or to PAY KATHERINES DUMBASS ON PAYROLL.
Look at it like this - there is a fire - now is not the time to play the blame game or sit around with your thumbs up your ass because you don’t think your tax dollars should go to this… WTF?!
“He started the fire, so I’m going to let my house burn down and not use my hose because ITS MY HOSE and I don’t want to run my waterbill.”
WHAT THE FUCK. GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!
PASS THIS BILL BEFORE OUR ENTIRE ECONOMY COLLAPSES!
We will be losing more than 1 trillion dollars a day if we don’t.
Simmer down folks…Ryan, like you I am incredibly passionate about politics and I can be extremely brutal when making my point (as I’ve been told), but still on HM I prefer that the discussion is still held to a respectful level.
Anyway…I agree that the congress’ failure to pass the bill was an enormous mistake that has already caused the loss of 1.2 trillion in stock values in one day alone. These folks were getting threats from their constituents, but this is one of those cases where the decisions should’ve been made based on expert opinions not uninformed voters.
The way this bill was presented was totally retarded, because it was mischaracterized as a government free for all for Wall Street. In fact the intent of the bill is to alleviate the credit market squeeze that is going to start make shit start hitting the fan in a major way if it is not resolved very quickly. It’s complex….but I think what it boils down to is inaction is not an option. The wealthy people are not going to be adversely affected by this it is going to be the rest of the country that suffers. So….anyway…it’s late here and I am tired and feeling a little sick so I’m going to bed. But…I hope that congress comes to its senses and figures out something.
I agree inaction is not an option as Sarah Palin stated in her CBS interview, but rushed action isnt either. If people from both sides, Republican and Democrats do not feel that this bill is what’s best for the American public, it obviously needs to be rewritten. If you think you know so much about the economy run for mayor your town Ryan(el presidente of what exactly?) and work your way up. You talk about it, but you’re not doing sh*t. Allow the people in Congress to determine what’s the best way to go about it(that is what they’re there for aren’t they). Hasty decisions can result in wasting even more of the taxpayers dollars. But unlike you, I’m working off of faith that we have smart people in Congress that are looking out for America’s best interest. I’m not making my decision based off of fear…which is what you’re solely basing your decision off of.
Now I’m going to include some links for you to better understand what I was talking about because you’re obviously are not picking up what i’m putting down.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxBtc-nq_L0
Watch the vid…Nancy Pelosi makes many great points that swayed me from thinking that this is the ONLY option..I believe that there is something better.
Another link where it does state along with many other articles that the BAILOUT could possibly end up costing 1 Trillion dollars in the long run. And like I stated before many analysts have said that 700 billion may only just barely cover it.

And by the way Ryan you can call it a bailout or an investment. That’s just basically you using a euphemism to make it sound better than what it is. And I’m not going to attack you because I have class. I started off my opinion earlier saying “personally….” for a reason…because it’s my opinion…get it??
BTW Ryan, there is a great article on usnews.com by Rick Newman(dont feel like finding it) that lists several options that are likely to be looked at in Washington instead of just taking money out of the bailout plan. Even though that option may occur again with revisions.
I suggest everyone reads it, these options may not be as “convienent” as the bill that was just proposed, but it definitely shows that there is more than one way to get to the right end result, which is what I was saying in the first place. Oh and if you comment me back Ryan I got a plane to Philly in the am, so I likely will not get to reply to you…I guess we’ll both just end up seeing where this goes.
hahah ryan love your work. i be back to give my view.
i extend my gratitude to Katherine for keeping class.
i think that’s what we need.
Ryan is BACK with a vengeance!
Lol but seriously I agree with you one hundred percent on this one Ryan. And in “my opinion” I think you should run for office when your a little bit older (nineteen may be a little to young) because your pretty darn smart if you ask me. Plus it doesn’t hurt that your funny too and made me LMAO a little while ago.
@ reecie; if I was living near you I’d bring you some chicken soup! But anyways take care and I hope you feel better.
@ non registered voters:
October the 6th is the last date to register to vote in TX so “GET TO SIGNING UP” and vote OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
