Watch: Ne-Yo- She Got Her Own featuring Jamie Foxx and Fabolous

Ne-Yo has a new video for his song “She Got Her Own” featuring Fabolous and Jamie Foxx. This is your standard video taped on a soundstage with dozens of models and celebrity cameos. In this video I spotted Jill Marie Jones, Eve (who’s scraggly micro-braids are HIDEOUS), Keyshia Cole, and Estelle…not too shabby. I like this song and while most artists wouldn’t put out two songs at the same time that have the exact same message, I give Ne-Yo kudos for staying on his uplifting women tip.

What do you guys think of this video? Do you prefer this video or “Miss Independent?

    Lol @t reecie!
That Eve comment was hilarious but so true. I was just happy to see her doing something again, even if it was just a cameo in Shaffer’s video. I also was glad to see that he didn’t hold any resentment to kyesha Cole for opening her big mouth and talking bs about him. Tony also looked beautiful, glad to know that she was still living!

Moving on, I LOVE LOVE this song so much. I only wished that he had put this song on his album. Jamie did a good job but Shaffer out-shined him on this song. Fab was also a good addition to this song.(Thank God he didn’t use Plies). I hope he puts this song out and sell it as a single. I know a lot of people including myself would go out and buy it but I doubt that that is his intentions. Shaffer also looked pretty “fly” and sexy in this video. All and all, I give this video and song Two Thumbs Way Up!

This is the remix so he put it out at perfect timing… right when it’s starting to stand still at the charts he drops a different version…

and yeah… I thought the same thing about Eve, not only that but her make-up was off and those huge bags under her eyes

I’m really starting to like Ne-Yo. I like this song. I love how he put females in here that have their own…though the chicks he picked are questionable. I mean Eve been looking broke for a minute, Estelle to new to be making major money to have much, Keyshia she still trying to establish herself…….the only person that truly got their own was Beyonce….peep the t-shirt Fabolous is sporting….that’s Beyonce. He should have had Bee, Mary, Queen Latifah, Jada, Monica some seasoned females….but overall the video was nice and the song is nice.

    FYI — Oh….they show Fab’s Bee t-shirt at 4:05

  1. I really like this song and video. Still partial to the first, but I’ve grown to love me some Jamie Foxx (can he drop another album please?)and I like Fabo as a guest MC.

Also so happy that Keyshia Cole is riding out this mono-color hair. LIke the two tone thing was cool and the whole hood was feeling it, but this looks so nice on her.

I’m also feeling the video for Single right now…which means I need to check out the album review for year of the gentleman…cus it seems like im liking it as much as i liked the first two.

She got her own is a song about women that are independent! Women that work and do not depend on a man to give them every thing that they want. It is NOT necessarily talking about women that make a lot of money it is talking about ALL independent women! From cashiers to teachers to domestic workers to Nurses to business women etc. Any type of women, regardless of income that strives to take care of themselves on their own!
And how do I know this???
    « BECAUSE NE-YO SAID THIS HIMSELF».
    YEAR OF THE GENTLEMAN=CLASSIC*

JW…I haven’t checked out Ne-Yo’s new album yet. I listened to a few songs, but not the whole thing.

Denise…I thought that was Bey on Fab’s shirt, but I wasn’t sure…glad to see that I wasn’t imagining things.

We get the point Neyo, girls are smart, independent, and people to. I’m just joking of course. I like the message Neyo is making even if it is subtle like a sledge hammer hitting the wall. The song is pretty catchy.

    ^ I co-sign on that!

@t reecie: I really hope you get his album. It is a GREAT album. All of his songs are a tribute to a woman. I think that all the women out their should get a copy. By listening to these songs you could feel Ne-yo’s profound love for All women!!!

Ps: the only thing that would have made that video better is a cameo of RiRi but Ne-yo considers her to be his little sister so that would probably be weird!

Yeah, I’m definately feeling Ne-Yo continously up lifting women. This is a cool remix. Jamiee and Fab were really good additions. Eve didn’t look right. I’m just glad he did a real remix and not the same beat remix.

CONGRATULATIONS to RIHANNA (Ne-yo’s lil sis) who has now surpassed Beyonce in record sales around the world at only the age of 20. She is now no.1! Way to Go Riri.
