Listen: Ciara- Go Girl Featuring T-Pain and Vibe Magazine Crowns Her Sexiest Singer Alive
Ciara has a new song called “Go Girl” featuring T-Pain. The production is hot and I like the way Ciara sings the song…but what I find interesting is how she is switching up the lyrical content of her music. Now she is “super sexual” and is talking up her sexuality more than we’ve ever heard from her in the past. It’s not terribly surprising considering that she has vamped up her image considerably lately and was last seen gyrating her crotch all up in Chris Brown’s face at the BET Awards…but still there is a part of me that is a little disappointed that she is being so obvious with it. I like Ciara despite the fact that she can’t carry a tune during a live performance, but I really don’t think this more cocky and boastful swagger she has is warranted given her marginal talent level. But alas, not having much talent and being successful are not mutually exclusive so with all that said…the song is catchy and I expect it to be a hit. Click here to listen
On another note,in keeping with her new sexier image Ciara is covering the new Vibe Magazine with no discernible clothes on. Vibe also gave her the title of “Sexiest Singer Alive”. Hmmm…really? Ciara is a very pretty girl, but I don’t think a boob job (no hate on those with boob jobs) suddenly makes her the sexiest singer alive. She is probably the sexiest dancer/singer, but being sexy to me is about having looks, style, and swagger…so on that basis, she is not #1. Maybe they are just trying to show someone other than Beyonce and Rihanna some love, which I can’t be mad at.

I personally feel that she shouldn’t have done that. She never needed to. I mean, we all know she isn’t the greatest singer, yet she never claimed to be. But she can dance her behind off.
As far as this taking her career to the next level: it might. It worked for Beyonce. Or it could back fire horribly like it did for Christina Aguilera. Either way, I wished she would have taken the high road. All well.
I think of Ciara like a young Janet Jackson. Not the best singer, but definitely entertaining as a performer. “Seixest singer alive” is an overstatement, but Janet Jackson wasn’t a sex symbol when she was doing her rhythm nation thing back in the day. Janet turned up the sex appeal and it fit, maybe Ciara is trying to do the same. If that’s the case maybe one day the title will fit.
If you have to strip down to be the new hotness you were never meant to be.
I remember when Ciara have to put up with rumors that she was really a he. Is ciara still dating 50?
Heard this yesterday on Russ Parr….it’s alot going on in this song (musically)….seems to me Ci Ci is dumbing herself down….listen to those lyrics (playboy bunny) and now this vibe cover…she butt ass naked. Toni Braxton pulled this same stunt awhile back and caught some heat for it but she did have vocals to really fall back on. Ciara is basically selling herself for fame and she shouldn’t do that. I read she’s pissed that Beyonce and Rihanna are more famous than her and feels she more talented. I don’t know how true that is (her saying or feeling that way) but she is living on la la land if she think she’s more talented or anywhere near Beyonce on talent level. But to each it’s own.
But I’m sure with some tight dance moves, which she is going to bring and a great video she’ll be no. 1 on 106 & Park. They love pimping our people who drop their clothes.
One more thing….tired of the voice box thing. Seems like artist who are vocally challenged jumping on this little mechanism and it’s annoying. I’m sure Roger Troutman up in heaven talking about how he’s been jacked…lol.
If Bee tries this cramp I’m going to be very disappointed. I hear she’s working with T-”ugly” Pain.
I’m not feeling the tune, doesnt sound new to me (the style that is…. and must agree with denise about the voice box thing… quite annoying now.)
As for her being the “Sexiest Singer Alive” i’d have to disagree with that, I cant actually label who is, but i know for sure that it isnt Ciara.
Im not a hater as i love the gurl, I love her dancing style, her singing talent and her looks, gurl is super hot…. but to be labelled as the “Sexiest Singer Alive”…. she does have potential, but its still a while to shes at that stage….
and can i ask, whats happened to modesty when it comes to showing off their body with female singers these day…. (not impressed with the Vibe cover.)
I think Ci Ci is starting to feel herself a little to much. The song is aight but I have to agree the arrogance isn’t working for me. I love Ciara but she gotta come harder because “High Price” and this ish ain’t working.
Dam! it looks like the editors of vibe magazine have hit their heads because Ciara, is most definitely NOT the most sexiest singer alive! For heaven sakes her body looks like a man’s body on that picture. “Rough and tough”! Plain and simple she looks like a man with a wig on!!!
Ps: I like her and really think that she’s a talented artist and pretty artist (in the face) but that’s about it!

Ciara is definitely not the sexiest singer alive but everyone needs a gimmick when they have an album about to drop so I’m not even mad at her for this VIBE cover.
