Watch: Cassie- Official Girl featuring Lil Wayne
Cassie is back with her video for “Official Girl” featuring Lil Wayne. I would be lying if I said I didn’t like the song…but the notion that she is coming harder this time around than she did with her debut album is laughable. The video is just an excuse to sell Cassie as a sex symbol and hope that nobody notices she isn’t offering much on the talent side. I’m sure the fellas will love this, but if she was looking for respect she would’ve been better off keeping her clothes on and sticking to a plot driven video.

And I would have to agree with that. “Lauren London” is who all the Men are after and Cassie was out before her. I just think that Cassie such go get some implants and apply for a job with “Hugh Hefner”.

yes i was expecting a cassie a lil more thirsty to prove herself; she was still shy, timid, and awkward (save for the the lil dance routine)
did anyone elese get an aaliyah vibe with the styling and what not; you think that was purposely done?
who wears colored contacts in 2008? i thinks thats kinda whack
damn this chic is skinny; no hips, thighs, or T&A; i think that was the worlds most pittiful ass-shots ever– so shes kinda lacking on the sex symbol status (save for the Face)

Jermar…you’re right, she still comes across and timid. And yeah the whole colored contacts thing was hella random lol. The a$$ shot was totally unnecessary, but her clothes were really cute in the video…so I’ll give her credit for that.
She might have a couple of hot songs, but I doubt her album will be banging. No matter how much she sex it up.
Considering how many girls in hollywood are having pictures of themselves leaked on the internet (Miley Cyrus, girl from the hill, girl from High school musical, Paris Hilton and Etc) is it really a good idea to make a video about taking scandalous picture of yourself and giving it to Diddy I mean your boss?
Not that I didn’t enjoy the butt shot, the pictures, Cassie in a two piece outfit and so on.

was just irked just thinkin about all of DK’s hard-earned cash being spent on this video. cassie was lookin cute in those expensive ass clothes and nice ass car and beautiful ass backdrops… but c’mon - you know all Bad Boy’s earnings from ‘08 are from The DollHouse, and DK’s videos aint even topnotch!

The Audi is the hotness though!
And Carlow I would agree that pretty much anyone could sing this song and it would be cool. Cassie is like a 90 pound version of J. Lo…both of hit records in spite of their absence of vocal talent. J Lo could dance much better though and she had more swagger.
Ummmm I like the way Karina Pasian sings it…cassie mad the song horrible and she has lil talent. It should have been karina’s song sorry
Even though Cassie cannot sing for sh*t, I’d have to disagree and say that she really has a nice shape. And ya, some hot ass clothes to boot! I would love a day in her closet*

Cassie aka Assie is in the same catergory as the other vocally challenged supposedly singers Rihanna, Ciara, Janet, Britney…they are making it either on their looks and/or dance ability. Cassie started out as a model and should go back to that, Rihanna started out as a singer and she should run from that to a runway, Janet should stick to dancing along with Brittany and Ciara. I would love to hear the live mic of these singers…well I already heard Britneys and WOW I just wonder how did she get a record deal. But I guess a record company can make anyone a singer, give them a catchy hook, make them wear nothing in their video and make sure that pretty and young dumb kids and some adults will buy it.

Ok this is wat it is…Yea Cassie doesnt really have a whole lotta range in her voice and she dont have the feel of confidence but mayb its cuz yall kepp blabbin ur mouths sayn she cant sing balh balh blah. I’ve said it plenty of times before, but I’ll say it again…Rihanna is actually very talented. After seeing her at Kanye’s Glow In The Dark tour she converted me to a fan. A lot of her music doesn’t really show off her vocal range, but in concert it is a different story. She is a total bad ass…so I would absolutely not put her in the same category as Cassie.
Janet has a mumbling problem, but she still has talent. She has some classic hits and she has the overall package. Ciara is just a dancer…she doesn’t even bother to sing live at all…so she is only a marginal step up from Cassie.
Britney…come on…she is in her own special league of shittiness. I definitely wouldn’t put her in the same category of Rihanna, Janet, or Ciara.

I can do without this song or video, but its not killing anyone. Her clothes are awesome.
There’s a whole lot of difference between Cassie and the other ones. I think its been expounded on already.
Ciara and Britney found heir niche by sticking to greatly produced songs…than even when slow…makes you want to dance. Britney just went off the deep end.
Janet Jackson has talent…shes just not a knock you out singer. She’s also a terrific entertainer, which counts for a whole lot.
IMO…their all in the same catergory far as vocal ability….of course none of them can out dance Ciara, well maybe back in the day Janet and Cassie looks good on magazine. They each are on the same vocals but each brings something that makes them special to the table…Ciara is a great dancer as well as Janet, Cassie looks cute and looks good on print ads and Rihanna is pretty and can make a brown paper bag look good on her body.
Would I pay to see any of them in a LIVE concert….yes Janet and have so. Are their vocals LIVE…..we’ll never know for sure.
