Watch: Rihanna- Disturbia
Rihanna has new a video for her next single “Disturbia”. I have to give Rihanna kudos for stepping outside of the box and giving a dark and edgy performance in this video. She manages to be disturbing, sinister, and high fashion at the same time which is pretty dope. I’m glad she didn’t play it safe with a simple dance video filmed on a boring soundstage and brought something totally opposite of the “Take A Bow” video. Whether you like her music or not you have to give her credit for being daring and switching things up.

well, because it’s a “bonus” it makes it seem that it has the potential to lose some value. I think of all bonus tracks as the “rejects” that they just recycle.
the video is sick as fuck, and the song gets me up faster than “don’t stop the music”… i love this beat and this hook and the versus. =]
easily because Rihanas singing (answering question from first commentor). The video is okay…when I hear this song and see the video it’s very BRITNEY SPEARs before the breakdown. Rihanna is over-rated..she can’t carry a note and her voice is annoying…I’ll say it again, she should have been a model and that’s it!

I like the video. I didn’t like the song that much but after looking at the video it made me like the song. You have to give it her…she is being creative with this video. Actually makes you want to see what kind of video an artist might put out. She’s on her grind that’s all I can say about that.

I like the video more than the song..but they both really do work well together. However, Rihanna can we please move on to the next album. I really wish she would’ve listened to her label and kept this song for a single from her next album..I’m just kinda over Good Girl Gone Bad she’s had like 5/6 singles from that album. Why the hostility? The beauty of this blog is that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Rather than taking a person’s opinion as a personal attack, why don’t we take it for what it is…an opinion. Whether or not you choose to agree with that opinion is entirely up to you. But the most mature and humane thing we can do is value what another person has to say. Show others the same respect you expect to receive from them.
I really like this song. I’ll admit I’m not a hardcore Rihanna fan but this is probably one of my favorites from her. She seems to be evolving with every new single. It’s refreshing to the different facets of her personality that her music continues to bring out.

I really don’t get the fascination with Rihanna she is garbage, very overrated and financed beyond her obvious limitations. The song itself was pointless, her mannerism remained uniform and the video was vain, hopeless and easily forgettable. If its attempts were to shatter the stereotype that she has become, it failed to do so. All her constant claims about being different are fake, her persona on film, her J-pop imitations, retro checks and punk attire and claims of being a trendsetter. Calling Rihanna daring is akin to calling Joss Stone 21st century’s Janis Joplin and Ciara as one of the most idiosyncratic artists going around today. Guaranteed she has no idea what she is singing about.

I go to a vocal coach and he can not STAND Rihanna’s voice.lol If I bring in a song of hers(take a bow) or something he’s like NO NO NO. Rihanna is very mediocre…sorry.
