Yea, I was thinkinb boring myself Taurus….
I think this is kind of boring for Bey. You can still bring the heat with the disco feel, but this is just not doing it for me and I am a real fan of hers!!! Oh well, next!
I hear that Timbaland signed up to produce Beyonce next album and that she is going to for more pop dance direction. Something similar that people like Timberlake, Rihanna, Madonna, Fergie, Augilera have done.
I think Beyonce got off with a slow start with B day. She played it safe with the song Deja vue which was similar to Crazy in love and that didn’t pay off. Ring the Alarm was a great song but I don’t think the song became the hit she was hopping for. I think thing started kicking off for her in December when the movie Dreamgirl was release and followed by the back to back hit Listen and Irreplaceable. She was able to follow those hit with Beauitufl Liar, Get your bodied and that joint she did with Timberlake. Maybe Beyonce should make a straight soulful R&B album instead of going for a pop direction.
I’m surprised you guys don’t like it! But then again I love the Vanity 6 diva sound of it…so perhaps I’m automatically more inclined to like this.
Stallion…I think Beyonce is already Pop & B…so I hope she doesn’t take it a step further than that by making it totally Pop. I think B’Day was a banger…Deja Vu and Ring the Alarm are two songs that I rarely listened to on the album since there are other songs that I loved. I hope she doesn’t just do an entire Timbaland album because he has a tendency to over produce his music and drown out the originality of the artist.
I think the beat is hot, but the over song is okay

this song is too hot to be true. its so new, this is what i call music, its innovative and original. Beyonce’ is already an urban pop artist so to hear go completely pop was strange at first, but i love it. this will not be the 1st single, whenever she has an album out she releases a single a few months before, for dil it was work it out, for b’day it was check on it.

and im almost certain Teedra moses had a hand in the writing and or production, cuz its chock full of teedra nuances—- either that or Beyonce woke up early and drank some swagger jacking juice
and it feels like beyonce is progressing as an artist rather than just switching genres— this feels very forward for her (this track is void of her cheesey lyrics, hood girl accent/swagger, etc)

I likes. I don’t think the beat is hard enough. It should hit you in the chest. But, Beyonce can actually sing. She doesn’t just rely on the beat like some other singers. Thumbs up.
I Love Beyonce but ummm (looking for my fellow Houstonians to slap me) yeahh ummmm NO! I am definitely not the 80’s pop sound from her…I agree something sensual & sexy is needed after the riskiness but hotness of Bday…. I am all for reinvention & innovation but baby as the old saying goes: “If it aint broke…”
I love it… I was on BART on my way to the city and put this on my Ipod this morning and replayed it CONSTANTLY! I love the Vantiy 6 sound - that is SO Beyonce’s hype. Rihanna got smart and ditched her island roots and got on the vanity hype… Dance music is turning up the heat in today’s industry… GOOD JOB B!!!! Love it! Haha that or Rihanna’s boss, Beyonce’s husband, was tellin B if she wants to stay #1 she has to compete with little miss ATTITUDE OVER HERE!

I can hear why you compare it to Vanity 6… it’s got that stripped-down style but with Timbaland’s sounds. But I don’t feel it has the electric sexiness of Vanity 6… it’s a little bit flat.
I don’t think Beyonce is the kind to experiment recklessly, but if this is a gradual move in that direction then I think it’s a good thing.
WAAUUUWW, Beyonce is trying something new. People please it’s not that bad. I know, we all see Beyonce with the R&B. Atleast she is trying. I like the song. I wanna see more of her in this direction.
I like B I just wish she was more R&B. She has way too much vocal talent to be so poppy. She def brings the vocals over any track she does I would just like to see if she could do some true soul music or R&B and hear her voice carry real emotion.
The vocals are hot [duh...considering Beyonce' CAN sing]!!! The song is ok…but I’m not really feel’n the beat. I have to agree with an earlier post — Beyonce’s vocals definitely carry the song/beat. I can’t wait ’til this 80’s resurgence dies out [in music, as well as fashion]. Its one thing to be inspired by elements from the past & configure them to your own standards. But, its a completely different thing when you just…hmmmm….copy exactly how it was done back ‘in the day.’ Its like ‘Fast Car’ by TheDream — that particular track sounded like TheDream just added one extra synth to one of Prince’s songs.
All-in-all, I do like the new dance/urbanpop/international direction Beyonce has chosen. This ‘new sound’ for her should be interesting.
I hate it.
