Thumbs Up or Down: Rihanna sings Bob Marley “Is This Love”
Rihanna tackled Bob Marley’s classic “Is This Love” for a Clear Channel Music Group performance. The weird thing about listening to Rihanna is that there are times where she really does have a pretty and unique voice and other times where she just sounds horrible. Overall I think she does a decent job of performing the song and to me she always sounds her best when she’s singing over a reggae track…but there are times that really show her vocal shortcomings. Rihanna is a very cute girl and all but she does not have a powerful enough voice to be a good r&b singer. If she sticks to pop songs she can make it because you really don’t have to sing that well.. As far as this song she gets a thumbs down!
To me she get’s a thumbs slightly up. I didn’t think it was that bad and I don’t really care for Ri Ri. She’s not a powerful singer but she’s got a voice… a tiny one.

I couldnt get past how terrible the drummer was.
And….yah her voice is weak…she was struggling on some of those spots.
