Kanye West - Bittersweet (ft. John Mayer) (listen)

Yup - HM Blog will bring you every “early released” tracked from Kanye West because…well, we love Kanye West. Kanye teased us with a poor quality 20 second clip during Late Registration…well, here goes the full version. Some cats are calling it “song of the year”…I don’t know about that, but it’s great. I am ready to graduate!!

Bonus - The Original Sample

  1. Is that the second time Kanye did a song with John Mayer? I remember hearing about one like 2 years ago.

  2. I’m not saying I don’t like the song, cause it’s not bad. I like Mayer on the hook, but Kanye’s verses sound like he’s making it up as he goes. For those not in the know, I mean to say it sounds like a freestyle. Like I said, it’s not bad, it just doesn’t sound polished.

Anyone noticing a similiar set up to this album as his Late Registration?

Diamonds of Sierra Leone = Can’t Tell Me Nothin (URBAN)
Stronger = Gold Digger (RHYTHM CROSSOVER)
Bittersweat ft. John Mayer = Heard Em Say ft. Adam Levine (POP/RHYTHM WITH MORE MAINSTREAM FRONTMAN FIGURE FEATURED)

i like the vesion he did on def poetry better…maybe because he seemed to be close to crying so there was more emotion…but the song is great

I love the song! I like the sentimental aspect of the song. One thing I love about Kanye’s music is that he is never afraid to be vulnerable, emotional, and flawed. He doesn’t pretend to be perfect and he doesn’t shy away from REAL issues that most people can relate to. I appreciate what he’s doing here…wonderful song. John Mayer was the perfect choice of a collaborator.

Hey honourable wasnt it “Go” on Commons “Be” that Ye and Mayer worked on… or was Mayer involved in the production of “Faithful” and i misread the production notes!!!

  8. I know Mayer sings the “go” part of “Go” in the remix. I’m not sure about “Faithful”.
