New Video: Ludacris- Slap

Ludacris has an incredibly entertaining video for his song “Slap”. First, the beat is hot, the lyrics are entertaining, and the acting in the video is pretty great. I especially like one particular scene (which I don’t want to give away and diminish its comedy) in the video where Luda is doing what I’m sure most of us have done at some point in time. lol. I know the album version says “Slap a nigga today” and hearing the edited version to me just proves that it’s really unecessary to use the word “nigga”in a song to prove your point. “Slapping somebody today” gets the point across just as much as the album version does. But anyways, I digress…great video…I’m sooo glad that he did something interesting to watch rather than just rapping on a soundstage with a solid colored background.

What do you think about Luda’s new video? Do you like the way he acted out the lyrics? Do you ever feel like just slappin somebody? lol

HA really good video. So much better than what rappers put out lately. It was a good homage to De Niro and Taxi Driver too.

Alas! Something worth watching. He did a kick arse job.

  1. At first I thought this was going to be some ole ignorant southern shit, but it was actually pretty mature and interesting and most importantly universial.

This will be a huge hit for Bone Thugs n Harmony. Awesome.

    Bone Thugs & Harmony?

Anyways, I thought this video was a really good concept that finally makes sense!! And the acting was pretty good I must say. I liked the song, but this video makes me like Ludacris even more than before.

Ludacris did a get job with this song. Sure I can see some people disagreeing with some of his lyrics here and there but for the most part Ludacris did a great good expressing himself with this song. I have to go back and listen to my Luda album. I remember liking this song but I didn’t realize how good this song was or what the song was about. Reecie made a good point that it was unncessary for him to say the N word. I still say Lupe should had won the grammy for hip hop album of the year but Luda album is pretty good.

I remember the day after the grammy I was watching Bill O’riley do a segment on his show bashing hip hop. He used this song as an example to show how dangerous and violent hip hop is. You would think by the part he played of this song that it was about killing your boss and that was the only reason people liked it and was the reason why he got a grammy. If you are going to bash hip hop at least get your facts straight.

  2. this is the shyt…this is my favorite song off the album. this song was written just for me, actually it feels like i should have written it my self…every subject in this song can be related to by anyone in the struggle…and the video is perfect for it

  3. i wanna merc my boss now.lol(straight face)

  4. I think this is a good video with a good message. Its still Hip Hop, not to preachy, mixed with bravado.

No flashy cars, no super pimps.

This gives me hope that real Hip Hop is back for good.

I agree with you Stallion, Lupe deserves more than he gets.
