Workout Music From Ciara Plus a Hot Amerie Track

Ciara’s cd “Evolution” was comprised mostly of aerobics music, and the bonus track that appears on UK release called “Addicted” has the same type of vibe. With that said…I’m not really complaining, because the song is hot. Her vocals have a nice amount of clarity that hasn’t typically been one of CiCi’s strong points. She sounds great, the song has a catchy beat, and the lyrics are cute…if people don’t tire of this sound, this could be a big hit in the states.

Just the other day I talked about how Amerie should really stick with a smoother, more sultry sound…and with the leak of her song, “R&B Girl”, Amerie does just that. First, the beat is hot…nice and chill, and she sounds great. In the song, she wants to prove to a love interest that there’s more to her than just a R&B star. I hope more of her album sounds like this track.

What do you think of the two leaked tracks? Should Ciara have included “Addicted” on her US version of her CD? With all of the tracks that have been leaked from Amerie, how does “R&B Girl” rate?

  1. I just like Amerie… her voice is like Tamia to me, just can’t go wrong. The track seems a little lost, but I’ve been feinin for her to put out something new. Who remembers Amerie on Stillmatic? CLASSIC!

Amerie on Stillmatic… definitely remember that one. She actually toured with him and sang the hook live!
Niakko, good lookin out… they definitely used the same sample. Do we know the original song?
As far as this song goes… it’s OK. I’m not blown away, but I do agree that it’s nice to hear her smooth it out again. Oh and I did hear that Rich Harrison won’t be on any of the new album. That’s a little sad. :*-(
