John Legend Just Doesn’t Care

I don’t know what happened to John Legend, but he’s just completely not sexy these days. He has a new video for his song, “P.D. A. We Just Don’t Care” that is visually interesting and artistic. The video is true to the lyrics of the song as it shows JL galloping around town with his love interest and another random couple doing the same. However, I couldn’t help but ask myself…is it just my imagination or is John Legend channeling George Michael? There’s just something very effeminate about John these days…I’m not feeling it. The song itself has mildly risque lyrics, yet it’s an anti-aphrodisiac. Trust me, this is not the song to put on if you are trying to get someone in the mood! At any rate, check out the video and share your thoughts.

What do you think of the new sound John Legend is coming out with? Is it a refreshing change to the typical R&B stuff or just annoying and wack?

The new stuff is aight. I dont think the “new” JL is what anyone anticipated. JL won our hearts with Get Lifted….I most def love the old JL. Who knows, it may grow on us. The look on the other hand is wack.

I have to applaud JL for the material he is putting out. I personally prefer him from the Get Lifted/College Dropout days, but the R&B scene has been so wack lately i can appreciate that he is trying to do something different. Saw him and Robin Thicke (another great artist) a couple of months ago, and seeing him perform live made the album grow on me even more. Go out and support GOOD music!

  1. I don’t dig this song in particular, but I’m all for artists who venture outside the norm. As long as he’s not singing about balling or hustling I’m cool with it.
